French eco activists at one of hundreds of events held in celebration of the third annual Semaine sans Pesticides (2008)

PAN Europe supports 'Semaine Sans Pesticides' (Week Without Pesticides) - a grass roots initiative orchestrated by French NGO MDRGF.

Each year during the final 10 days of March, MDRGF works to facilitate hundreds of local actions and initiatives designed to highlight the negative impacts of pesticides and the efficacy of existing alternative pest management strategies.

Through PAN Europe's involvement this movement is now reaching beyond France and into other European countries.

PAN Europe also works to assist organisations from Central and Eastern Europe to disseminate information on pesticides. In 2007 we helped translate key documents into Bulgarian, Slovenian, Slovakian and Armenian.
