ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS - Expert discussion on the Commission proposal

Dear all,

EU is at a crucial moment to finalise the criteria to regulate endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and protect our people and the environment from exposure to these substances. The Commission published a set of criteria on the 15th of June and last week several Member States expressed their concerns at the Standing Committees of Pesticides and Biocides and asked for changes.

Following these developments, PAN Europe is pleased to invite you to join an experts round table meeting at the European Parliament on Wednesday 28th of September, where the scientific and legal aspects of the criteria will be discussed. The meeting is hosted by MEP Pavel Poc

Our main speakers are Jean-Pierre Bourguignon (Paediatric Endocrinology, Endocrine Society), Vito Buonsante (Law and policy advisor, Client Earth), as well as Susanne Classon & Maria Wallin (Swedish Ministry of Environment and Energy) who will give their expert opinions on the criteria. The Commission will also be present.
