The “Sustainable Mosquito Control in Italy” Webinar on 6th May 2022, Friday, from 15:30 to 17:00 CET was organized by Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living in the scope of its Pesticide Free Towns Turkey project implemented in partnership with PAN Europe. 

PAN Pesticide Action Network Europe (PAN Europe) and Buğday Association for Supporting Ecological Living held the “Leuven as a Pesticide-Free Town” Webinar on Monday 30th May 2022, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET within the framework of the Pesticide-Free Towns Turkey Project.

This event was hosted by PAN Europe, Eleonora Evi (MEP) and Pesticide Action Week on the 28th March 15:30 CET. It falls under the umbrella of the Pesticides Free Towns movement and aimed at celebrating this year's Pesticide Action Week.

Court of Justice of the EU back EU decision to restrict neonicotinoids in 2013, based on the precautionary principle

Today, the European Court of Justice has confirmed that the European Commission was entitled to ban the use of neonics on bee-attractive crops in 2013, in its jugement[1] on the appeal case opposing Bayer to the European Commission. The Luxembourg-based institution backed the use of the precautionary principle and that, even in case of uncertainty, the European Commission was entitled to make such restrictions.

On September 29th, 14:30-16:30 the online parliamentary event on "Hazardous Pesticides and EU's double standards" took place, hosted by MEP Eric Andrieu (S&D), MEP Anja Hazenkamp (GUE/NGL) and MEP Michèle Rivasi (Greens/EFA), and organised by PAN Europe and Public Eye.

On this occasion, scientific knowledge and practical testimonies will be presented to feed the debate on how European policies could help accelerate the necessary ecological transition towards a safe and environmentally-sound agriculture.

The CAP reform will not be able to reduce EU’s dependency on pesticides, but the battle is still only at the beginning.
